Organizational Purpose
This work unit exists to manage the ticketing operations for the organization. The Ticketing Manager ensures a seamless secure and user-friendly purchasing experience for guests while maintaining standards of customer service and financial accountability.

Major Objectives of the Position
The Ticket Manager exists to manage the ticketing operations for year round events and the annual State Fair.The Ticket Manager exists to manage key revenue areas and deliver an exceptional experience to guests promoters partners and staff.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

This position will oversee and manage the ticketing process and systems needed to produce events at the State Fair. Duties include:

Position oversees the financial aspect of ticketing operations by reconciling daily sales weekly settlements and monthly reports against the accounting system. Ensures strict adherence to internal controls for securing funds and ticketing inventory while managing the approval process for all ticket distributions to maintain financial accountability and operational accuracy. Position is responsible for providing leadership and supervision between 50 to 60 seasonal temporary employees and volunteers. Duties include:

Although the full salary range for this position is provided appointments are typically made at or near the range minimum.

Minimum Requirements:
Proven Experience Knowledge Skills:
  • Seven (7) years of work with large event management customer service and organization
OR
Education and Experience:
  • A combination of related education in accounting event planning public relations and/or public administration and/or relevant experience in large event management customer service and organization equal to Seven (7) years.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Years of state service as a preferred qualification.
  • Previous work with large events
  • Previous supervisory experience working with temporary employees
Conditions of Employment:
  • Must have an active Colorado drivers license.
  • Must be a resident of the state of Colorado.
  • Must be willing to work outside of normal business hours
  • Will need to work outdoors in adverse conditions such as rain heat and snow.
