• ORIENTATION: Every 2 weeks

** 100 MILE RADIUS RULE* We will not accept a traveler that has a perm address within 100 miles of our hospital.

** RTO: No more than 3 days may be requested per 13-week contract

** Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment and guaranteed hours will not apply

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing assessment monitoring and intervention for cardiac procedures such as coronary stents Swan Ganz/right heart catheterization balloon valvuloplasty angioplasty and pericardiocentesis
  
• Administering oral and intravenous medication to patients
  
• Operating intra-aortic balloons physiological recorders and printers for monitoring electrocardiogram data
  
• Managing patients under sedation to watch for adverse reactions
  
• Educating patients and their families regarding surgical site care lifestyle medications and other postoperative information
  
• Managing paperwork including patient consent forms charting lab results and procedure documentation
  
• Collaborating with other medical staff as needed
  

Compensation:

• Weekly Pay (hourly) Non-taxed Stipend (if eligible)

• Must have at least 3 years of experience
  
• Must have current ACLS certification
  
• Must have current ARRT(R) certification
  
• Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment
  
• Effective team skills including interaction support and respect are required.
  
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  
• Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  
• Excellent communication skills professionalism and reliability
  
• Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents completing forms opening and sending e-mail messages.
