Description

The Teen Services Caseworker provides comprehensive case management and housing-related services while ensuring the safety of clients and program spaces; participates in program coverage and outreach activities; ensures the collection documentation and reporting of information and data as required; and works as a member of the Teen Services team to support and achieve outcomes aligned with program goals and the agency mission.

Population Served: Youth between the ages of 12-21 who are currently homeless or experiencing housing instability.

This is a full-time 2nd shift position with a Sunday to Thursday 12:30 pm 9:00 pm schedule



Qualifications

Qualifications include Bachelors Degree in Social Work or related field of study or comparable combination of education and relevant experience. A Masters Degree in Social Work or related field of study or Bachelors Degree in Social Work and 2-3 years relevant experience is preferred.

Caseworkers must also have an understanding of the Preble Street mission Harm Reduction Housing First and social and economic justice including the role of policy advocacy throughout all programs and positions as well as an understanding and positive regard for individuals experiencing homelessness and/or living in poverty.

Eligibility for employment with Teen Services also requires that staff be at least 21 years of age; hold certification or become certified in First Aid and CPR (on-site training opportunities offered); provide proof of education (diploma or transcript); and have acceptable background check results including BMV. Teen Services staff must attend recurrent regularly scheduled trainings provided on-site. Reliable transportation is required for this position.

Compensation & Benefits

These positions offer competitive pay at a rate of $23.82 per hour. As a direct service position in a 24/7 program this position is eligible for shift differentials of $1.00 per hour for all hours actually worked between the hours of 7:00am and 10:00pm or $2.00 per hour between 10:00pm and 7:00am as well as $1 differential for languages used in program. Benefits also includegenerous paid time off insurance and retirement plan benefits including:
