Purpose of the Carpenter Role

As a Carpenter you are taking ownership of helping to restore homes for the communities of people we serve. Were looking for someone who is committed to being a team player has great communication skills and has a desire to grow their carpentry skills.

We are looking for someone who

• Has 1-2 years of on-job experience in a verifiable construction role.

• Can function in a high stress environment that can change daily.
• Has excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
• Is self-motivated and able to work independently.

Key responsibilities and duties

• Must demonstrate knowledge of construction and job-site safety.
• Must be willing to learn framing trim/cabinets/door windows exterior finishes finish carpentry etc.
• Work on jobsites daily and always maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Communicate clearly and effectively to team members.
• Work with the Project Manager to complete approved scope of work and communicate any changes or issues.
• Work week is typically 40-45 hours a week not expected to exceed 50 hours during busy times.

Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is a very active and requires standing walking bending kneeling stooping crouching and climbing. The employee must have the ability to lift and/or move items over 75 pounds.
• Candidate for employment must have a valid drivers license and a clear driving record.
• Candidate must pass a criminal background check to perform work on insurance related claims.
• Basic knowledge of smartphone/email technology.
