How youll contribute

A Carpenter who excels in this role will:

  • Perform skilled carpentry and construction work to build repair and maintain wooden structures fixtures furniture cabinets walls and facility components.
  • Complete facility maintenance and repairs including carpentry plumbing electrical and general building maintenance tasks.
  • Construct and repair interior structures including partitions metal stud framing drywall and surface finishes.
  • Install repair and maintain commercial flooring systems and other facility finishes.
  • Execute masonry and finishing work including block brick mortar cement and surface repairs.
  • Safely operate carpentry tools and equipment including hand tools power saws drills nail guns and trade-specific equipment.
  • Respond to maintenance requests preventative maintenance needs and urgent repairs to support a safe and reliable healthcare environment.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship safety and compliance while collaborating with facilities teams and hospital staff.

What were looking for

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical training in carpentry construction or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in carpentry construction or facilities maintenance with proven knowledge of building repair and renovation practices.
  • Strong carpentry and construction skills including framing drywall cabinetry flooring finish work and general building repairs.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools and the ability to safely operate equipment used in the carpentry trade.
  • Ability to read measurements interpret work instructions and accurately complete projects with attention to detail and quality workmanship.
  • Physical ability to perform essential job duties including standing walking bending climbing ladders working at elevated levels navigating confined spaces and lifting up to 50 pounds independently.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to assess repair needs and identify effective solutions.
  • Commitment to safety and professionalism while working in a healthcare environment including compliance with infection control practices hazardous material procedures and workplace safety standards.
