Position Overview
SpaceStars Deck Builders is seeking energetic and technically skilled Carpenters to join our Field Operations team in Southeast Michigan. As a premier deck building company we are looking for individuals who take pride in craftsmanship and are Outcome Obsessed ensuring every project meets our absolute highest quality standards for workmanship and attention to detail.
This role is designed for those looking to build an amazing career within a high-integrity team environment that values continuous improvement and personal development. You will work under the guidance of our Field Operations leadership to execute deck construction projects safely and efficiently.

Role Summary

Requirements

• 5 years of direct carpentry experience with 3 years of deck building experience for Tier 2
• 10 years of direct carpentry experience with 3 years of deck building experience for Tier 3
• Valid drivers license
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to pass a drug screen
• Ability to pass a drivers record screening

Hiring Process: New candidates are required to perform an in-person skills assessment as a fundamental part of the interview process. The results of this assessment directly determine the candidates initial hiring level and corresponding pay scale within our structured compensation framework.

Career Advancement: Each carpenter tier has established transparent criteria for competency and advancement detailed in a tiered skill checklist. We are committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Employees who demonstrate a commitment to learning and growth are given the opportunity to advance through the Carpenter tiers gaining increased responsibility and higher wage scales.

Pay: $24.00 - $38.00 per hour
