TECHNICIANS - Onsemi EFK is seeking highly skilled and motivated technicians to become part of our state of the art 300mm factory in East Fishkill New York. Equipment/Maintenance Technicians sustain and run the fab floor with primary responsibility of resolving equipment and process issues. Technician positions are shift positions working a compressed week of 12-hour shifts. Onsemi is a 24/7 manufacturing facility providing technician support across all shifts. $5000 sign-on bonus.

OPERATORS - onsemi is seeking a highly motivated Wafer Fab Operator to join the Manufacturing Operations Team. The role of the Manufacturing Specialist is primarily to load wafers into production equipment verify product specs against equipment settings monitor equipment operation monitor process pace/productivity and recognize when something is out of adjustment. $1500 sign-on bonus.

RESPONSIBILITES FOR TECHNICIANS

• Monitor control and qualify state-of-the-art 300 mm diffusion furnace semiconductor equipment
• Perform and teach others how to perform preventive maintenance activities
• React to error messages of factory systems and/or equipment
• Review Statistical Process Control charts and other system indicators for process quality and react to Out of Control conditions including defect troubleshooting
• Perform and teach others how to perform visual inspections (quality checks)
• Recover from process and tool interruptions
• Identify and address potential areas for improvement and optimize tool availability cycle time utilization and cost
• Complete all required reporting and documentation
• Understand and follow all health safety and environmental procedures and requirements
• Actively participate in continuous improvement processes learning and skills development
• Strong team member able to work well with a global team train new team members as needed and perform other duties as assigned

• Day shift 1 Sunday Monday Tuesday and every other Wednesday 6:30 AM-7:00 PM
• Day Shift 2 Thursday Friday Saturday and every other Wednesday from 6:30 am -7:00 pm
• Night Shift 1 Sunday Monday Tuesday e/o Saturday 6:30 pm - 7:00 am Includes 15% Shift Differential
• Night shift 2: Wednesday Thurs Friday e/o Saturday 6:30 PM-7:00 AM Includes 15% Shift Differential

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE FOR AN OPERATOR

Experience required:

• Prior semiconductor experience is preferred but not required
  • A stable work history is a plus
  • Must be able to work a 12-hour compressed shift in a cleanroom environment.
  • Hard-working flexible team player with superior attention to detail and computer knowledge.
  • The ability to multitask and manage a large volume of activity and demands.
  • Wearing cleanroom garments is necessary to protect hair dry skin etc. from contaminating the product (wafers). This includes wearing a bunny suit gloves safety glasses approved cleanroom shoes and face coverings.
  • The ability to carry a pod of wafers that weigh 15 pounds throughout the full shift of work.
  • The ability to frequently climb up 4-5 stair steps while carrying a wafer pod throughout the full work shift.
  • The position works a compressed night shift. Each shift is 12 hours per day alternating 3 working days one week and4 working days the next week.
  • Arriving on shift at the scheduled time and punctuality from breaks and lunches is mandatory to ensure appropriate coverage at all times.

onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this TECHNICIAN AND OPERATOR is $18.75-$48.17 per hour exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location skills education experience and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members. We also offer a competitive benefits package.
