Who You Are:
You are organized compassionate and thrive in a patient-facing environment. You enjoy helping others communicating clearly and managing multiple priorities throughout the day. You understand the importance of professionalism confidentiality and attention to detail when working in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate is strong with patients organized and comfortable in a medical environment.
Other qualifications include:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional healthcare or administrative training preferred.
- Credentials: Medical office administrative or healthcare-related certifications preferred but not required.
- Technical Skills: Experience with front desk reception scheduling answering phones administrative support insurance prior authorizations and HIPAA-compliant administrative practices and billing experience preferred.
- Customer Service Skills: Strong patient-facing communication and the ability to provide a welcoming experience for patients and visitors.
- Clinical Support: Comfortable assisting with light clinical duties such as obtaining vital signs with training provided.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
What Youll Do:
As the Front Office Care Coordinator you will serve as one of the first points of contact for patients while coordinating administrative processes that support quality patient care. You will help create a positive experience for patients while ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.
A typical day will consist of:
- Greeting and welcoming patients in a friendly professional manner.
- Answering and returning patient phone calls.
- Scheduling appointments and providing administrative support.
- Processing and coordinating insurance prior authorizations.
- Maintaining accurate records and HIPAA-compliant documentation practices.
- Supporting office operations and ensuring smooth patient flow throughout the day.
- Assisting with light clinical support duties such as obtaining blood pressure or oxygen saturation readings with training provided.
- Collaborating with providers and team members to deliver an exceptional patient experience.
- Other duties as assigned.
