Job Summary
The Torrance Unified School District consists of 17 elementary 8 middle 4 high schools 1 continuation and 1 alternative high school. The District also has 3 adult school Unified was established in 1947 and unified in 1948 and is nestled in the heart of the South Bay in the southwestern part of Los Angeles County. Our District is bordered by the Palos Verdes Peninsula on the south the beach cities - Redondo Hermosa and Manhattan Beach - to the west and the cities of Lawndale and Hawthorne to the north. The District serves the entire City of Torrance and is governed by five school board members from five trustee Statement:The Torrance Unified School District strives to ensure that each and every student is educated and prepared to succeed in life. Under the direction of an assigned supervisor patrol and monitor an assigned campus to maintain order and security in a high school setting; assure student compliance with school and District policies and regulations.
FILING DATE: OPEN UNTIL FILLED District Classified application supplemental form and Campus Security Certification must be submitted to the Personnel Commission Office. SELECTION PROCEDURE:This is an OPEN recruitment to establish an eligibility list fill vacancies and hire substitutes. Substitutes work on an as-needed basis to fill in for absent employees. The eligibility list will be used to fill permanent vacancies which may occur during the life of the eligibility in this classification are part-time or full-time (25-40 hours per week) 10 months per year 196 days. The recruitment process will consist of a written examination and/or an oral technical interview. Testing may occur on a weekly basis.
