Job Summary

POSITION TITLE:Campus Receptionist

EXEMPTION STATUS:Non-exempt

REPORTS TO:Principal

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 month; 2025-2026 school year

HOURLY SALARY RANGE:Minimum $12.90 Midpoint $16.12 Maximum $19.34

Primary Purpose

Provide reception and clerical assistance for the efficient operation of the campus office.

Qualifications

Education/Certification

High school diploma or GED

Special Knowledge/Skills

Ability to use computer and software to develop spreadsheets databases and perform word processing

Proficient keyboarding and file maintenance skills

Effective organizational communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Ability to operate multi-line phone system

Experience

Related experience and/or training

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Reception

  • Receive and direct calls take reliable messages and route to appropriate staff.
  • Greet and direct campus visitors.
  • Maintain visitor log and issue visitor passes

Student Assistance

  • Assist with the receipt and distribution of student materials including homework requests.
  • Assist parents in checking students in and out of school.

Clerical Support

  • Receive sort and distribute mail messages documents and other deliveries; and assist with preparation of materials for mailing.
  • Maintain various computerized files such as reports employee roster and mailing lists.
  • Assist with the scheduling of teacher-parent conferences as assigned.
  • Provide clerical assistance as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality.

Professional Growth and Development

  • Maintain familiarity with district initiatives to better serve the needs of students and the campus.
  • Participate in professional learning staff meetings and special events as assigned.

Communication

  • Articulate the districts mission and goals to the community and solicit community support.

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors

  • Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including prolonged use of computer printer peripherals telephone
  • Posture: Prolonged sitting and moderate standing occasional kneeling/squatting bending/stooping pushing/pulling twisting reaching/lifting
  • Motion: Frequent repetitive hand motions keyboarding use of mouse wrist flexion/extension
  • Lifting: Lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds without assistance 30-55 pounds with assistance and more than 55 pounds with appropriate assistance
  • Environment: Work is performed in an office setting; occasional in-district travel; occasional irregular and/or prolonged hours
  • Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress work with frequent interruptions
