Job Summary

Position Summary:
A Campus Greeter performs intermediate customer service and protective service work by greeting and interacting with students staff and visitors in a positive and professional manner. This position will also provide for a safe and secure school environment fostering an optimal learning environment and acting as a deterrent to unsafe or inappropriate behavior by safeguarding the campus monitoring student behavior enforcing school and District policies reporting unsafe or unhealthy conditions performing de-escalation procedures monitoring cameras and other related work as apparent or assigned.

Position Requirements:
A high school diploma is required with post-secondary study preferred. Proficiency in a World Language preferred. Experience working with youth is preferred.

Other Skills & Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of student behavior and behavior management; general knowledge of school personnel and administrative practices procedures and methods; ability to provide focused positive support to students staff and visitors; ability to respond to hostile situations and intervene in physical altercations; ability to work with large groups of students; ability to promote and follow school board policies and building and department procedures; ability to communicate interact and work effectively and cooperatively with all people including those from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds; ability to recognize the importance of customer service and safety in the workplace follow safety rules practice of safe work habits utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator; general skill in the use of personal computers and related software packages hardware and peripheral equipment and two-way radios; ability to communicate complex ideas effectively in both oral and written forms; ability to work with and through administrators teachers and support staff; ability to develop and present ideas effectively orally and in written form; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students staff and the general public. Basic first aid/CPR certification required within 1 year after entering position. LSCI training required within 1 year after entering position. Consistent and reliable attendance required.

Hours/Schedule:
7:00 am - 3:00 pm M-F student contact days

Pay Rate:
Non-Affiliated Employment Agreement A-1-3 / $15.99 - $21.71 per hour depending on experience.
