Job Description:

We are seeking an energetic customer-focused Call Center Representative to join our Customer Service team at Meyer Plastics this role you will be the primary point of contact for customers distributors and vendors handling inbound and outbound calls related to orders product inquiries billing questions complaints and general support. The ideal candidate is professional solution-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer high volumes of inbound calls from customers distributors and vendors in a professional and timely manner
  • Process customer orders changes cancellations and returns accurately in the companys ERP system
  • Respond to product inquiries on specifications pricing availability and lead times
  • Resolve customer complaints billing disputes and shipping issues efficiently
  • Follow up on orders back orders and shipment status updates
  • Make outbound calls to customers for order confirmations payment reminders and product updates
  • Coordinate with departments for accurate order fulfillment
  • Document customer interactions and resolutions in the CRM system
  • Escalate complex technical questions or major complaints to the appropriate department
  • Maintain knowledge of plastic products materials pricing structures and industry applications
  • Meet or exceed call center performance metrics for customer satisfaction
  • Assist with order entry and administrative tasks during slow call periods

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 13 years of experience in a call center customer service or sales role
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce HubSpot or Zoho preferred
  • Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP Oracle or NetSuite
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Professional phone etiquette and customer-first attitude
  • Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
