About the Role
An established precision manufacturer serving aerospace and defense customers is looking for an experienced Calibration Technician to own its gauge calibration program. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows calibration and can contribute from day one. The hiring process is one interview.

What Youll Do

• Track all gauges through the calibration system and keep everything current
• Calibrate and verify measuring instruments in house
• Coordinate outsourced calibrations with outside labs: request quotes create purchase orders ship receive and inspect returns
• Review and file calibration certifications and test reports accurately
• Issue maintain and monitor gauges for production and quality staff
• Perform audits on the shop floor and support the Quality Manager as needed

Must Haves

• 3 years of hands-on calibration experience
• Experience calibrating a range of measuring instruments and gauges (calipers micrometers gauge blocks pin and thread gauges etc.)
• Able to read and interpret manufacturing technical drawings
• Solid computer skills including Excel Word and accurate typing
• Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload

Nice to Haves

• Gage Track or similar calibration management software
• Knowledge of ISO 17025
• Experience in an AS9100 aerospace defense or precision machining environment
