National Calibration Inc. (NCI) is looking for motivated dependable people who enjoy learning working with their hands solving problems and figuring out how things work.

Previous calibration experience is not required.

This is an entry-level position designed for someone who is mechanically or technically inclined pays attention to details and wants to develop a valuable technical skill set. Youll work alongside experienced technicians who will teach you how to inspect test and calibrate precision measurement equipment used by companies across a wide range of industries.

What Youll Do

As a Calibration Technician I youll learn the fundamentals of calibration while working under the guidance of experienced technicians and laboratory leads.

You will:

• Learn to calibrate a variety of precision measuring and test equipment
• Take accurate measurements record results and complete calibration documentation
• Learn how different measuring instruments work and how to determine whether they are performing correctly
• Follow established calibration procedures technical specifications and quality requirements
• Develop an understanding of measurement principles tolerances accuracy and traceability
• Learn NCIs Quality System and the fundamentals of ISO/IEC 17025
• Maintain organized and accurate technical records
• Handle customer equipment carefully and professionally
• Keep your work area laboratory equipment and standards clean and organized
• Communicate effectively with technicians supervisors customer service and other departments
• Complete hands-on training and maintain required training records
• Take on additional responsibilities as your skills and experience grow

What Were Looking For

You do not need previous calibration experience to be successful in this position.

Were looking for someone who:

• Has strong attention to detail
• Is comfortable working with numbers and basic math
• Has good mechanical technical or analytical aptitude
• Can follow detailed instructions and established procedures
• Takes quality and accuracy seriously
• Is dependable organized and responsible
• Is comfortable using computers and learning new software

Experience with tools electronics machining manufacturing automotive work inspection maintenance engineering or other hands-on technical work can be helpful but it is not required.

Physical Requirements

This is an active hands-on laboratory position. Team members should be able to:

• Spend portions of the workday standing walking reaching and working at a laboratory bench
• Use their hands to safely handle tools instruments and precision equipment
• Safely lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds for short distances with assistance when appropriate
