Job Summary

What Drives Success

As aCAD Designer (I) you willbe responsible fordesigning and producing drawings for metal fabrication components within the HVAC industry. Your role will include ensuring product specifications are met conducting customer verification approvals and managing the product database. You will illustrate drawings based on product literature architectural plans and verbal instructions. Additionally you will contribute tooptimizingcompany operations for cost efficiency while ensuring quality safety standards andtimelycustomer deliveries.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Create andmaintainproduct documentation and bills of material.
  • Collaborate directly with sales staff and customers to develop drawings from sketches blueprints existing drawings and photos along with written and verbal instructions.
  • Work closely with all departments within the plant to guarantee that drawings areaccurate convey the correct information and are free from errors. Update drawings as needed tofacilitatecontinuous production and prevent delays.
  • Utilize drafting resources to create new tools that enhance efficiency including hardware and software design.
  • Produce drawings based on customer company and vendor specifications adhering to corporate drawing standards.
  • Undertakeadditionalrelated duties as assigned.
What We Are Looking For

Qualifcations

  • Associates degree in drafting design or equivalent experiencerequired; 1 to 3 years of drafting experience preferred.
  • Requires at least 1-3 years related experience
  • Experience with analytical and CAD software including SolidWorks preferred
  • Requires knowledge of design techniques tools andprinciplesinvolved in production of technical plans blueprints drawings and models
  • HVAC industry experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

Skills:

  • Proficiencyin drafting and design particularly with sheet metal products.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical plans specifications and architectural drawings.
  • Strong computer skills including SolidWorks or other 3D CAD softwareAutoCADWord Excel and email.
  • MRP experience is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and results-oriented mindset.
  • Mechanical and technicalexpertise.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Abilities:

  • Ability to follow directions andmaintaina focus on results while ensuring attention to detail.
  • Willingnessto learn and adapt.
  • Strong organizational skills
What We Offer

Compensation: This is a salaried non-exempt role. This means that employees are paid a salary and also receive overtime pay when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law). The starting salary range for this role and market is between $57000 - $74500annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills education experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Employees in this role are also eligible for abonus in accordance with the terms of the Companys applicable plan.
