JOB SUMMARY:
The Manufacturing Trainer will be responsible for teaching welding and fabrication process to Oshkosh Vocational Team Members. This training could occur in small groups of team members or in a LIVE manufacturing trainer may work independently or with other trainers. This candidate will develop effective communications and a positive working relationship with all team members and students as well as:

- Provide training on welding operations and techniques used within the Vocational Segment.
- Provide training regarding fabrication process. Coaching team members around performing tasks in a safe manner according to safety policies and rules.
- Provide other team member support as needed.
- Communicate information positively and effectively.
- Create online written and LIVE training curriculum and materials.
- Develop design and build training props.
- Performing Training Needs and Task Analysis.
- Develop training materials following the ADDIE model.
- Demonstrate how JDE2 is used.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word Publisher PowerPoint).
- Ability to accurately read a ruler to the 1/32 of an inch.
- Demonstrate how to access and located technical information in Pierce Truck Builder and ProPlanner
- Facilitate Level 1 and 2 Volterra High-Voltage training.
- Must have the ability work a flexible schedule as needed to cover the training needs of different shifts.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Five (5) years welding experience with aluminum and steel
- Need to pass a weld test
- Ability to travel up to 20%
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient knowledge of MIG and TIG pulse-spray welding.
- Ability to read weld prints and symbols
- Ability to explain the functions and settings of the MIG welder.
- Minimum of two (2) years welding on aluminum and steel
- Previous experience training or teaching
- Understanding Pierce Truck Builder and ProPlanner
- Proven curriculum development experience
- Experience viewing 3D models
- Ability to think outside the norm to bring new ideas to the team.
- Ability to work unsupervised and with leadership remotely
- CWI or willingness to obtain CWI
