About the Opportunity

Claires is looking for a curious commercially minded student to join our Buying team as a Summer 2027 Intern. This internship is designed to provide hands-on exposure to the fast-paced world of retail merchandising while giving you the opportunity to learn how products move from idea to customer.

As a Buying Intern youll work alongside our merchandising teams and gain exposure to how Claires identifies trends develops assortments evaluates product performance and brings exciting products to customers around the world.

What Youll Get to Experience

Depending on business priorities and team assignments you may have the opportunity to:

• Support the Buying team with product and assortment activities.

• Review sales and product performance to identify trends and opportunities.

• Conduct competitive market and trend research.

• Assist with preparation for assortment reviews and other merchandising meetings.

• Learn how buyers make decisions related to product pricing assortment and inventory.

• Partner with Planning Design Marketing and other cross-functional teams.

• Support special projects and business priorities.

• Gain exposure to the end-to-end retail merchandising process.

What Were Looking For

• Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Merchandising Retail Business Marketing Fashion Merchandising or a related field.

• Interest in retail fashion accessories trends and consumer products.

• Strong analytical and organizational skills.

• Comfortable working with data and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Curious proactive and eager to learn.

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities may evolve.

• Expected graduation date of December 2027 or later preferred.
