It also fills a logistics lead role in logistics by overseeing daily activities related to inventory management shipping receiving and returns. This role ensures that materials components and finished goods are handled efficiently accurately and safely to support production schedules and customer delivery role focuses on purchase order processing schedule maintenance data accuracy and crossfunctional coordination rather than supplier strategy or demand ownership. With a dedicated team of over 900 skilled professionals and certifications including ISO9001 and IATF 16949 Amphenol Industrial Operations consistently meets the highest standards of quality and Industrial Operations proudly operates as a business unit of Amphenol Corporation headquartered in Wallingford Duties & Responsibilities:Purchasing / Buying SupportCreate release and maintain purchase orders for direct materials and components based on system recommendations and planner/buyer supplier order acknowledgements delivery dates and open order up with suppliers on late short or incorrect deliveries and escalate issues as accurate purchasing data in the ERP/MRP system (pricing lead times MOQ supplier confirmations).Assist with resolving invoice discrepancies and receiving inventory replenishment activities to prevent material shortages or Planning Support Assist with maintaining daily and weekly production schedules in ERP/MRP work order status and flag material or scheduling conflicts to material availability prior to work order lead times routings and bills of material as coordinate priorities between production purchasing and inventory engineering change implementation by ensuring correct material setup and ControlMaintain accurate inventory records for raw materials WIP and finished cycle counting and physical inventory processes to ensure with production and purchasing to resolve discrepancies and maintain optimal stock inventory transactions in ERP or MRP systems and ensure proper & ReceivingSupervise all shipping and receiving activities ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with packaging labeling and documentation and coordinate outbound shipments with carriers and freight inbound materials for accuracy and quality; ensure timely entry into shipping logs tracking information and carrier performance Reporting & Continuous ImprovementRun standard reports related to open orders shortages inventory levels and schedule accurate and timely information to buyers planners and production in inventory accuracy and cycle count support with continuous improvement efforts related to planning purchasing and material other duties as assigned by Education & Experience RequirementsAssociates or Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Business Operations or related field preferred but not required. 5 years of experience in a manufacturing supply chain or materials & CompetenciesFamiliarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP Oracle or similar preferred).Basic proficiency in Microsoft attention to detail and data to follow standard processes and work organizational and timemanagement written and verbal communication Requirements:The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
