In this role you will be working as a Buyer for a client that works in the manufacturing industry. This position will be responsible for purchasing including sourcing of raw materials electronic components and other tools required for custom projects.
This is a contract to possible permanent role that is a long term need for my client. This position must be worked on site.
Pay; $55000-$65000/Yr.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Business or Supply chain or equivalent experience
- 3 years of experience with purchasing or buying in a manufacturing automation and/or heavy metal fabrication environment
- Familiar with machining fabrication electrical components ( motors drives sensors relays etc.)
- Responsible for purchasing mechanical electrical and pneumatic components
- ERP experience in a job shop environment (Emcompix preferred but open to SAP SAGE etc.)
- Able to reach and understand technical drawings blueprints and BOMs
- Able to work with vendors and suppliers - negotiate price and terms
- Track orders and expedite delivery of items when needed
