Responsible for executing a variety of roles within the procure-to-pay cycle for all commodity capital and service categories employing established department protocols. Work is generally preformed independently requiring professional judgement attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. The typical duties include but are not limited to:

• Customer liaison duties ensuring supply and service requests are sourced within system standards utilizing preferred products and suppliers.
• Order placement and expediting.
• Sourcing and purchase of minor equipment and capital project requests.
• Supplier evaluations invoice resolution and problem solving.
• Identifying cost reduction opportunities.
• Continuous participation in purchasing strategies that advocate Lean Management and standard work protocols.

Education:

Bachelors degree required in a related field such as business administration supply chain logistics purchasing OR equivalent experience (Legacy Health employees only). CMRP CPSM certification desired.

Experience:

Minimum of two years of purchasing or supply logistics experience preferably in a healthcare setting. Equivalent experience and education will be considered. Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) system preferred.

Knowledge/Skills:

Strong interpersonal skills that encourage effective working relationships.

Demonstrated understanding of purchasing materials management and account payable terms and principals.

Solid customer-support aptitude utilizing effective verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated ability to use professional judgment prioritize responsibilities/workload and meet deadlines and apply chain-of-command communication protocols.

Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
