Job Summary
Salary Range: $52000 to $77700Position Summary Description:The Buyer isresponsible forsupporting the procurement of food products and supplies in alignment with company standards inventory needs and Customer demand. Working under the guidance of Purchasing leadership this role sources vendors evaluates purchase ordersmonitorsstock levels and ensurestimelydelivery of are expected to stay up to date on factors influencinginventory levels such as seasonality consumer-purchasing patternslogisticschangesand ensure productsareprocuredat minimal cost to Duties and Responsibilities: Understandsthesupply chain as it relates to our industryandhow purchasing fits into andimpactsthe end-to-endfood servicedistribution inventory inassigned categories/products with accuracy and efficiency. Is proficient in all tasks related to inventory management including but not limited to setting upa new itemforecastingordering the correct items inappropriate quantities providing solutions for shortagesmanagingexpirationdates andmanagingthepurchase order integrity of perpetual inventory systemthroughtimelyinformation update andaccuratedata entry/ strong analytical and decision-making skills to proactively manage our inventory levels considering various considerations such as customer need cost seasonalitypurchasingpatterns logistical challenges positive and productive relationships with vendors and brokers. Troubleshoots vendor issues and handlesbasicnegotiations understanding theindividual relationship of each vendor and takingappropriate actionand risk as within our vendor appropriate urgencyto day-to-day tasks and issues and takesnecessary action to resolve to prevent problems by taking a proactive from reporting appropriatelyandtakes actionas needed based on the needs and urgency of the business ina with Sales Business DevelopmentLogistics and Operationsto make strategic decisionsand recommendations to improve efficiency increase profitability decrease cost etc. Minimizes financial risk throughitem monitoring and collaboration with Inventory Control and Companys Mission/Vision StatementsCore Values and Road to Haleiwa strategyas their guiding Responsibilities:This position has no supervisory :Education/Training and ExperienceAssociates Degree in Business Administrationor related field and/orOne to two years ofbuyingexperiencefoodservice industry SkillsMustpossessa high levelof verbal and written communication skills withproficient vendornegotiation be able to communicate with internal and external associates in an effective professional persuasivemanner tomaintaingood business SkillsMust be able to perform basic to moderately difficult mathematical functions involving addition subtraction multiplication division averages and toeffectivelyutilizeMicrosoft Office 365 applications (WordPowerPoint Excel). Demonstratesintermediateproficiencyinvariousposition-specificsystems including for example DynamicsSalesforceTrackmax Clarity FCSDokmee be well organized with the ability to multi-tasktime-manageand be very flexible with changing Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
