This role is part of Blue Origin Operations which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain Test Operations Safety Quality and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.About the Role

This role sits within Blue Origin Operations comprised of Integrated Supply Chain Test Operations Safety Quality and Mission Assurance supporting Manufacturing and Supply Chain across all Blue Origin facilities.
As part of a small and passionate team of Business Intelligence professionals you will build and maintain data models deploy machine learning models develop automations and visualize data for the Safety Quality and Mission Assurance (SQMA) organization. You will support all functions within SQMA as well as Manufacturing Operations. Our customers range from the CEO to individual contributors across the organization. This role will propel the reliable operation of the company and strengthen the value of analytics and data science within SQMA.

Key Responsibilities:
- Designs and builds data models supporting Safety Quality and Mission Assurance processes systems and tools
- Creates dashboards and key metrics used by program leadership for decision-making and business reviews
- Develops automated data pipelines using Python and SQL to enable teams across engineering supply chain configuration management production and operations
- Applies AI/ML techniques and deploys machine learning models to support predictive insights and process improvements
- Builds lightweight applications and tools that extend self-service analytics capabilities for SQMA and Manufacturing Operations customers
- Partners with Directors Engineers and Specialists to identify analytics needs and deliver self-service reporting solutions
- Leads technical data modeling efforts for cross-functional analyses spanning programs across Blue Origin
- Follows data quality standards and documentation practices that enable team scalability
Minimum Qualifications:
- Passion for our mission: millions of people living and working in space!
- Minimum of a Bachelors degree in engineering business data analytics or a related technical field
- 2 years SQL experience
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and applying them to practical business problems
- Experience with professional visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI)
- Experience building or contributing to applications/tools (e.g. internal dashboards automation apps lightweight web tools)
- Experience working with customers to gather requirements and present data solutions
- Must be a U.S. citizen lawful permanent resident or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) due to export control requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years building models and reports with Databricks (Certified Data Analyst Associate a plus)
- Experience building automated data pipelines using Python DBSQL and/or Spark
- Experience deploying or productionizing ML models (e.g. MLflow Databricks ML)
- Experience building applications with low-code/no-code or lightweight frameworks (e.g. Databricks Apps React)
- High capability with Tableau Power BI and/or Databricks Dashboards
- Experience automating data tools like Airtable Odoo or Smartsheet
- Experience with hierarchical data structures especially hardware bills of materials and production plans
- Domain knowledge in engineering supply chain manufacturing and/or aerospace
