OneOC is looking for an enterprising Volunteer Services Manager who is ready for broader ownership and the opportunity to build and grow programs. You will strengthen existing volunteer activities and help shape new services at an early stage including an outsourced volunteer management program for companies and nonprofits.

  • Skills-based volunteer recruitment and outsourced placements that connect professional expertise with nonprofit needs.
  • A new outsourced volunteer management service from understanding client needs and piloting delivery to building the systems that support growth.

You will own project plans and partner relationships coordinate staff and volunteers and help generate revenue through paid services and sponsorships. You will work closely with OneOCs leadership and Senior Manager of Business Development to turn opportunities into sustainable services.

What you will bring:
At least five years of relevant experience strong project management skills and a record of building productive relationships. You have helped develop or grow a program and have some experience generating revenue through clients paid services sponsorships or renewals. You care about volunteering enjoy finding and implementing service projects and take initiative. You can adapt when plans change make progress while processes are still taking shape and follow through on the details. Experience may come from volunteer engagement nonprofit programs corporate partnerships client services or a related field.

JOB OVERVIEW
The Volunteer Services Manager leads the delivery development and growth of OneOCs volunteer engagement services. The role connects companies nonprofits and volunteers to well-planned opportunities that address community needs and provide a rewarding volunteer experience.

This is a hands-on leadership role for an enterprising relationship builder who enjoys turning ideas into practical services. The manager strengthens existing activities while developing new offerings including an outsourced volunteer management program for companies and nonprofits. Strong project management adaptability and follow-through are essential as services are tested refined and expanded.

GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Working with the Director of Nonprofit Services the President & CEO the Senior Manager of Business Development and the volunteer services team the manager provides day-to-day operational leadership ensures service continuity strengthens client relationships and develops financially sustainable volunteer engagement services. The role combines reliable delivery of established programs with the development testing and scaling of new offerings.

Position Overview
Provide day-to-day leadership and support to volunteer services clients to ensure service continuity growth and an exceptional customer experience. Oversee the implementation and delivery of the following programs and services:

Volunteer Service Projects: Identify community needs in partnership with nonprofits; develop suitable projects; and oversee planning volunteer participation supplies budgets on-site delivery and follow up. Build a range of projects that companies engage employees in and support and that nonprofits can host.

Corporate Volunteerism Council:
Build and maintain member relationships; coordinate meetings learning opportunities and shared service activities; and encourage participation retention and new membership.

CIVIC50: Manage OneOCs program work plan company outreach participation support deadlines and recognition-related coordination in collaboration with colleagues and program partners.

Skills-based volunteering:
Recruit volunteers with professional expertise and coordinate outsourced placements with nonprofit partners. Agree on project scope skills needed deliverables and responsibilities; support matching and onboarding; and follow progress through completion.

Outsourced volunteer management:
Develop pilot and scale a new service through which OneOC manages agreed volunteer activities on behalf of companies and nonprofits. Assess demand define service packages and pricing with leadership establish procedures and refine delivery before expanding.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create and manage project plans timelines budgets staffing arrangements and deliverables. Anticipate problems adapt plans and keep partners informed to meet commitments and expectations.
  • Find and develop new volunteer service opportunities by listening to companies and nonprofits and translating their needs into practical projects. Establish repeatable procedures for recruitment orientation placement delivery and follow-up including appropriate screening safety planning accessibility and incident reporting under OneOC policies.
  • Test new services gather feedback and improve delivery. Develop the systems and partnerships needed to scale programs based on demand outcomes costs and staff capacity.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing corporate nonprofit foundation and community partners. Build new relationships understand partner priorities and resolve service concerns promptly.
  • Support sponsorship cultivation stewardship and revenue generation for volunteer services initiatives. Develop proposals with colleagues coordinate sponsor benefits and commitments communicate results and encourage renewals and repeat engagements.
  • Support the planning and execution of volunteer services and signature events including Spirit of Volunteerism and Community Cup. Agree on responsibilities with colleagues and ensure timelines deliverables and partner expectations are met.
  • Lead the continued implementation and growth of OneOCs skills-based volunteering initiatives including volunteer recruitment and outsourced placements and other volunteer services as assigned.
  • Take ownership of business development activities for assigned services under the strategic guidance of the Senior Manager of Business Development. Identify and advance opportunities through prospect outreach discovery meetings proposals agreements and renewals while maintaining exceptional client service.
  • Own and contribute to established business development and revenue goals for assigned Volunteer Services offerings including developing a qualified pipeline converting opportunities into paid engagements cultivating sponsorships and supporting renewals and repeat business.
  • Monitor program performance maintain accurate records and prepare reports. Track delivery participation volunteer hours placement completion partner satisfaction revenue and community outcomes using results to improve services.
  • Assist with budgeting forecasting and financial tracking for assigned community engagement activities. Work with the supervisor and finance team to monitor income and expenses and address variances.
  • Lead volunteer committees workgroups and planning teams as assigned. Supervise and support assigned coordinators and volunteers set priorities delegate work and provide feedback.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure successful delivery of volunteer services and signature events. Maintain knowledge of emerging trends and best practices in corporate social responsibility employee engagement and volunteerism.
  • Maintain confidentiality of organizational financial personnel and client information. Comply with organizational policies and procedures and support OneOCs mission vision and values.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Demonstrates strong project management skills including the ability to coordinate people resources budgets and timelines to deliver successful programs and events.

  • Hearing and speech within normal ranges and sufficient for clear communication face to face and on the telephone.
  • Lifts up to 10 pounds regularly and 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.
