Job Summary
Were looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to build Arbols sales pipelines. Youll be engaging prospective clients through managing inbound leads driving outbound outreach to build interest in Arbols products and services. This role works the sales team to build pipelines identify new opportunities and nurture existing relationships to drive Arbols business. Ideal candidates are natural closers who are willing to hustle to hit their numbers. Insurance or fintech experience is a bonus but not a requirement.
We are based in New York City but open to candidates who work remotely from the United States.
- Outbound Prospecting: reach out to qualifying leads through outbound calling and email
- Qualify Inbound Leads: Receive and triage inbound leads routing and prioritizing
- Maintain Existing Relationships: maintain and nurture relationships with existing clients to identify opportunities and ensure needs are being met through ongoing communication
- Partner With Sellers: sourcing pipelines researching potential leads and build account strategies
- Measuring and Tracking Sales Metrics: create and share detailed reports of pipeline metrics such as calls meetings booked conversion ordering and lost business
- Bachelors degree in Marketing Sales Business or related field OR 1-2 years of outside sales experience
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding monthly/quarterly/annual sales quotas in outbound sales development
- Experience researching prospecting and cold calling potential customers and customer relationship management
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience working in a startup environment
- Experience working in the financial insurance or reinsurance industry
- Experience or interest in climate risk parametric insurance or climate technology
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time while working at a computer with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to use a computer keyboard mouse and standard office equipment (e.g. phone printer scanner)
- Ability to view a computer screen for prolonged periods with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to communicate effectively in person by phone and via email
- Ability to occasionally stand walk bend and reach within an office environment
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 1015 pounds occasionally (e.g. office supplies files) with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to perform repetitive motions such as typing or data entry
- Ability to maintain focus and attention while performing detailed tasks
