Job Summary
Business Development ManagerThe Business Development Manager will focus on driving profitable growth by generating new business expanding Viants Advanced Plastics (APS) division and supporting strategic account business growth. This role will lead technically focused sales efforts for APS capabilities while cross-selling Viants broader portfolio of plastics metals and complex assemblies to emerging and established medical device position requires a strong focus on achieving new business targets building customer relationships retaining and growing current business revenues and identifying incremental opportunities within strategic accounts. The Business Development Manager will develop and execute territory and account growth strategies while working closely with cross-functional teams to secure new business strengthen customer relationships and expand Viants position within targeted role is ideal for a growth-minded self-starter with an engineering background who is interested in partnering with technical and business leaders to bring innovative high-quality products to market. The successful candidate will combine technical credibility strategic account management and disciplined business development to create sustainable growth for the APS Responsibilities:Generate New Business: Proactively identify pursue and secure new business opportunities for the APS divisionincluding managing RFQ processes developing tailored technical proposals and negotiating agreements to achievenew business Prospecting: Develop and execute a comprehensive prospecting strategy focused on priority markets andcustomers for APS ensuring continuous pipeline growth and market Sales: Translate customer requirements engineering specifications and application needs into compellingAPS solutions in partnership with Engineering Operations Quality and other technical Account Business Management and Growth: Develop and execute strategic account plans that protectexisting business expand revenue deepen relationships and identify new programs applications and Relationship Management: Establish maintain and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers atmedical device OEMs. Call points may include R&D Engineering Procurement Operations and business Growth: Meet or exceed assigned new business and revenue targets by applying effective sales strategiesdisciplined pipeline management and strong and Industry Expertise: Stay informed about customer needs market trends technological advancements andthe competitive landscape relevant to advanced plastics and medical device -Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams in Commercial Engineering Operations Quality andFinance to evaluate opportunities develop solutions and ensure successful execution and customer and Proposals: Manage pricing and proposal activities including new business quotes existing businessrenewals and price changes while supporting competitive positioning and effective Collaboration: Partner with Account Managers and other commercial stakeholders to coordinate strategicaccount priorities advance growth strategies and maintain alignment on business development Working Conditions:Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic -based with home office flexibility.25%-75% travel depending on territory and account :Bachelors degree in Engineering preferred; a degree in a related technical or business discipline may also be considered.A minimum of 5 years of business development technical sales or strategic account management experience withinplastics medical devices or a related manufacturing success in generating new business achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth with medical deviceOEMs or other complex business-to-business managing strategic accounts and developing account growth plans that expand existing business andcapture new to understand engineering drawings technical specifications manufacturing processes and customerapplication in managing high-value complex client relationships and engaging technical leaders and understanding of sales strategy market execution pipeline management and the ability to lead cross-functionalteams to deliver communication presentation negotiation and technical selling motivated self-driven and capable of building strong relationships with customers and internal analytical skills and proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and ability to assess the financial and strategic impact of business opportunities.
