Job Summary

The Boring Company was founded to solve the problem of soul-destroying traffic by creating an underground network of tunnels. Today we are creating the technology to increase tunneling speed and decrease costs by a factor of 10 or more with the ultimate goal of making Hyperloop adoption viable and enabling rapid transit across densely populated regions.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain relationships with clients. Maintain a high-quality customer database.
Identify active requests for proposals in the United States for tunneling projects (water sewer and transport) and non-tunneling projects that could become tunneling projects.
Create new revenue-generating tunnel projects for The Boring Company by persuading key stakeholders that a TBC tunnel meets their needs.
Help write review and submit proposals to local state and federal entities.
Lead company business development efforts.

Basic Requirements

Bachelors Degree.
5 years of relevant experience securing bids in the tunneling industry.

Preferred Skills and Experience

3 year(s) of experience engaging and negotiating with government entities.
3 year(s) of marketing experience.
3 year(s) managing a team.
Strategic thinker with innate ability to identify bottlenecks and develop solutions.
Strong persuasion and negotiation abilities.
Ability to analyze others reactions and understand why they react as they do.
Effective communicator with exemplary presentation skills.
Natural ability to network and forge relationships.
Ability to interpret market customer and competitor information.

Additional Requirements

Position may require long hours and weekend work.
Travel 25-35% of the time.
