The Mid-Hudson/Catskills Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is seeking a knowledgeable and client-focused Business Advisor to support entrepreneurs and small business owners throughout the Mid-Hudson region. This part-time position reports directly to the Regional Director and plays a key role in advancing small business growth and economic development.
The Business Advisor provides one-on-one counseling to small business clients in all stages of development from start-up to expansion. The ideal candidate will bring a strong business background practical experience and a passion for supporting entrepreneurs. May include some local reimbursable travel and evening hours.
- Provide confidential in-depth business counseling in areas that include:
- Financial analysis and projections
- Business plan development
- Marketing strategies and market research
- Presenting occasional topical seminars
- Bachelors degree in Business Management Finance Economics or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in private-sector business entrepreneurship banking finance or a related technical assistance environment
- Strong analytical communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively
A starting hourly rate of $29.01 an hour. This position is contingent upon adequate funding.
