Bus Driver COA

The Wellesley Council on Aging (COA) is seeking responsible individual(s) to drive the COA bus. TheCOA Bus Driverprovides safe transportation to medical appointments stores and social engagements for Wellesleys senior citizens via a 12-passenger wheelchair-accessible bus. This position requires keeping accurate passenger records and performing daily safety checks.

The work requires a clean driving record strong organizational and interpersonal skills and a sincere concern for the safety of passengers and equipment. The incumbent may occasionally be offered opportunities to drive the bus on other days of the week.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Ability to read write and speak English
• Valid Massachusetts drivers license
• Clean driving record (no moving violations in the past 5 years)
• Patience with and interest in senior citizens
• Basic familiarity with personal computers and spreadsheet software
• CORI check and pre-employment drug screening required
• Mandatory training will be scheduled prior to driving

Work Schedule & Pay:

• Schedule: 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM 2 days per week (maximum of 19 hours/week)
• On-call: As needed to cover vacations and sick days
• Hourly Rate:$26.67
• Benefits: This position is not eligible for benefits
