Job Description:

Onondaga Community College in Syracuse NY is accepting applications for an adjunct instructor in the Business Administration program to teachBUS-101 Introduction to course offers an introductory overview of essential business concepts including organizational structures management principles marketing strategies financial analysis and ethical considerations. Students will explore the role of businesses in society and develop foundational skills for success in the business world.

The adjunct instructoris responsible forall aspects of preparation instruction and classroom management. These include but are not limited to learning management system (LMS) integration and maintenanceinstructionand content delivery preparing and grading assignments and exams providingtimelyresponses to student inquiries and assessing student performancerelativeto standardized learning objectives.This course is taught on campus in a face-to-face format.

Requirements:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • MBA from an accredited college university or foreignequivalent.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in teaching college-level businessintroductory courses.
  • Able to teach during the day preferred; however it is not can be scheduledforthe evening.
  • Experience with D2L Brightspace or a comparable Learning Management System.
  • Bilingual in English and and another language will be considered.
Additional Information:

  • Adjunct rate of pay for the 26/27academic year is $1527/credit hour. Classes will be assigned on an as needed basis dependent upon enrollment.
  • Adjuncts are eligible to participate in the NYS Teachers Retirement System.
