Built-Up Commercial Roofing Technician

We are seeking an experienced Built-Up Commercial Roofing Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for installing repairing and maintaining built-up roofing (BUR) systems on commercial and industrial buildings. The ideal candidate is dependable safety-focused and experienced working with asphalt tar insulation and multi-ply roofing systems.

• Install repair and maintain built-up roofing systems on commercial properties
• Apply hot asphalt roofing felts insulation and coatings according to manufacturer specifications
• Perform tear-offs and roof preparation for new installations and repairs
• Operate roofing equipment kettles torches and hand tools safely and efficiently
• Inspect roofs and identify leaks damage and repair needs
• Follow all OSHA safety standards and company safety procedures
• Work collaboratively with foremen project managers and crew members
• Maintain a clean and organized job site
• Complete work efficiently while maintaining quality standards

• 2 years of commercial roofing experience preferred
• Experience with built-up roofing (BUR) systems required
• Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions
• Knowledge of roofing materials tools and safety practices
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
• Valid drivers license preferred
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus
