It is the only downstate RTF in the state that is a dual NYS Office of Mental Health/Office of Children and Family Services facility. We never consider it too late to give young people the help they need and we are pleased to partner with these two agencies to ensure the young people in our care have the skills and support they need to achieve long-term success. Supports are individualized and tailored to the needs of the young SummaryThe Building & Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the total maintenance of the building in accordance with regulatory FunctionsResponsible for the general cleanliness and sanitation of the facility as well as the safety and well-being of the residents and facility structure and its for meeting and maintaining regulatory and company safety the building in a clean and orderly condition by examining the building on a regular basis for needed repairs maintenance and or arrange for general building and fixture ability to plan organize and execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced to build a strong team including performing skill assessments and developing training plans for any unusual conditions or malfunction of heating plumbing and electrical systems or any other for key maintenance and other security estimates of labor and/or materials for repair or new in planning repair/renovation and coordinates work with outside for the ordering and inventory control of maintenance/kitchen for garbage and refuse disposal as well as snow maintenance of landscaping and upkeep of grounds duties as Monday Friday 7:00am 3:00pmWeekend and Evening flexibilitySupervisory ResponsibilitiesOversees maintenance and housekeeping staff and outside contractors; coordinates daily operations by scheduling work assignments establishing priorities and directing the work of subordinate employees to ensure efficient safe and effective facility School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred)7 years experience with supervising maintenance and housekeeping staff10 years construction and repair experienceKnowledge in electrical plumbing plaster painting door hardware and general maintenancePrevious maintenance experience in a residential treatment facility (Preferred)Job Behavioral ExpectationsMaintain regular consistent and professional attendance punctuality personal appearance and adherence to relevant health & safety and successful performance including meeting productivity an understanding of the principles methods and processes needed to perform the job.
