Job Summary

The building-based substitute teacher provides instruction encourages student progress and manages the learning environment enabling each child to pursue his/her education as smoothly and completely as possible in the absence of the regular teacher. - Building-based subs will be used to support each school and serve as substitute teachers.- When not needed as substitutes they can be used to support teachers with small groups of students or individual students and/or cover teacher duties.- Building-based subs will be granted an automatic interview for any position for which they are certified.- Building-based subs will be paid $160 per day and receive no health benefits.- Building-based subs can voluntarily participate in any PD sessions.- Building-based subs will be considered for any long-term sub position for the 2026-2027 school year.- This is a different position from day-to-day substitute positions.
