BUILD ENGINEER (ENTERPRISE PRODUCTS)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work directly with the Starlink Transit hardware and customers to improve performance reliability and to resolve technical issues when they arise
  • Develop new processes and methods that enable rapid deployment of antennas
  • Provide sales teams with pre-sales support acting as the technical subject matter expert and engineering representative for Starlink Transit in customer interactions and proposal review
  • Directly support activation of new installations from hardware delivery through initial connectivity
  • Travel to remote customer sites to drive rapid installation troubleshooting and integration of Starlink Transit solutions
  • Design novel hardware solutions to expand how and what markets are served by Starlink Transit

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree inaerospacemechanical orelectrical engineering or science discipline
  • 1 years of experience inan engineeringrole

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with electrical mechanical or structural design and analysis
  • Experience with build production or integration of components into an assembly structure vehicle or site under strict quality and timeline requirements
  • Demonstrated success in multidisciplinary project execution
  • Experience with any of the following is a bonus:
  • Producing construction drawings or plans
  • SQL Matlab Python C or similar
  • Producing dashboards or analytical and statistical models (Ex: Tableau PowerBI)
  • Physical network infrastructure design or planning
  • Design and construction of power systems

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willingness to traveldomestically and internationally in support of customer sitedesign and activations
  • Must be willing to work long hours and occasional weekends when necessary to support critical project timelines

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range:
Level 1: $125000.00 - $165000.00
Level 2: $145000.00 - $200000.00

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills education and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of company stock or long-term cash awards as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Company shuttles are offered to employees for roundtrip travel from select Seattle locations to the SpaceX Redmond office Monday to Friday.
