Waabi builds generative AI for the physical world starting with autonomous trucks. Turning that intelligence into road-ready hardware takes someone who can take a board from a design file to a validated assembled unit and who reaches for the soldering iron the scope and the terminal when something doesnt behave the way the schematic says it should.
As a Bring-Up & Manufacturing Electrical Engineer youll be the person who makes our custom electronics real. Youll bring up new boards debug them down to the root cause partner with our contract manufacturers to get them built at quality and stand up the test fixtures and V&V that prove theyre ready for the vehicle. Youll report to the Electrical Engineering Team Lead and work closely with our design quality and technician teams.
Board bring-up & debug. Take new boards from first power-on through validation. When a design misbehaves youre the one at the bench with the scope and the terminal isolating the root cause and driving the fix.
Test fixture design & module V&V. Partner with our design and V&V teams to build module end-of-line test fixtures then use them to evaluate designs under nominal and stressed environmental and electrical conditions.
CM coordination. Work directly with our contract manufacturers to get PCBs and assemblies built. Shepherd builds through fabrication track schedules and flag issues before they become bottlenecks.
Inspection & assembly. With our quality team develop the controls and checks that catch defects at each stage of manufacture. Inspect incoming boards for quality and workmanship perform rework and hand-assembly as needed and integrate validated boards into their final enclosures meeting OEM-partner and internal quality standards.
