Job Summary

Support Staff/Break Aide

Great Start Readiness Program

127days per year.1-7 hours per day (5-35 hours per week varies)

Kent ISD non-union

Provides breaks for teachers in the classroom setting in a high-quality preschool program that complies with the requirements of the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) grant.

Job Qualifications:

  1. Preferably has some experience working with children.
  2. Create and maintain a safe and positive learning environment focused on a sense of belonging within the classroom.
  3. Ability to communicate effectively and relate positively with students parents and school personnel.
  4. Good attendance and punctuality.
  5. Commitment to equity social justice and inclusion in all practices and position responsibilities.
  6. Team player who is able to multitask and prioritize.
  7. Navigate some technology.
  8. SomeEnglish-speakingskills. Bilingual skills are highly ISD has a diverse student population speaking over 100 languages.

Salary:$16.96 per hour

Benefits:Earned sick time; State of Michigan School Employment retirement program.

The final candidate for this position will be required (at their cost) to furnish Kent Intermediate School District with a current Michigan State Police and FBI criminal records LiveScan check prior to our recommendation to hire.
