Summary

A DSV Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of branch operations with a strong focus on customer acquisition team development and financial management. The role demands both strategic oversight and hands-on leadership to ensure operational efficiency customer satisfaction and sustainable growth.

Duties and Responsibilities

Drive branch growth by acquiring new clients and maintaining strong relationships with existing ones

Ensure excellent customer service by fostering an environment of continuous improvement and accountability

Regularly visit key clients to identify opportunities for further business development

Oversee branch operations to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal standards

Use financial reports to manage cash flow improve transportation yield and control expenses

Focus on driving profitable growth by increasing revenue and improving operational efficiency

Develop and implement strategies to keep the branch competitive in the freight forwarding market

Leverage market insights to adapt and enhance the branchs operational performance

Work closely with the leadership team to align branch goals with overall company objectives

Promote a culture of integrity transparency and constructive feedback within the branch

Travel as required

Supervisory Responsibilities

Hire train and develop a high-performing team aligned with the companys mission

Foster a culture of open dialogue and constructive feedback encouraging growth and continuous improvement

Smoothly integrate new hires into the organization and provide ongoing support for their development

Recognize and reward top performers while creating growth opportunities for all employees

Educational background / Work Experience

Bachelors degree in Business Administration Logistics Supply Chain Management or a related field is preferred.

At least 5 years of progressive experience in the freight forwarding industry or 10 years of equivalent work experience is preferred.

Fluency in English is required.
Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Computer Literacy

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint).

Physical Demands

Work is generally sedentary with no specific need for physical coordination or effort. May require physical effort associated with using the computer to access information or occasional standing walking lifting needed to carry out everyday activities. Hours can be extensive as well as occasionally staggered for multi-shift access. While performing the duties of this job the employee uses his/her hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop kneel or crouch; talk or hear. The employee uses computer and telephone equipment. Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision and distance vision. Minimal travel maybe required for this role domestically and internationally.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job the employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. At-Will Employment

DSV Air & Sea Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as at will employees. This means that an employee may be terminated for any reason or no reason at all at any time provided the discharge does not violate any law*. Additionally each employee has the right to terminate his/her employment at any time. *Except if employed in Montana where termination requires just cause.

For this position the expected base pay is: $99500 - $148500 Annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience skills education certifications and geographic location in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
