Our client a well-established furniture retailer in Elkhart is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Office Administrator to join their team. This opportunity offers flexibility with both part-time and full-time schedules being considered. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm though candidates may have flexibility to create a schedule that works best for them.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of accounting and administrative functions while working independently in a professional office environment.
Job Duties:
Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
Perform general bookkeeping duties using QuickBooks
Prepare and maintain weekly financial and operational reports
Assist with forecasting and financial tracking
Handle employee insurance administration and related paperwork
Set up new employees in company systems as needed
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Assist with general office and administrative functions
Support day-to-day business operations as needed
Its a match for someone who is detail-oriented dependable and comfortable managing a variety of accounting and administrative responsibilities with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will bring previous bookkeeping experience strong QuickBooks knowledge and the ability to provide accurate reporting while helping support overall business operations.
Requirements:
Previous bookkeeping accounting or office administration experience
Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks (required)
Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Ability to prepare reports and assist with forecasting
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Professional communication skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Drug screen and background check required
