Bookkeeper
Job Summary
This is a remote position.
Western Security is seeking a reliable detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial record keeping and support the companys accounting and administrative operations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail excellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate and confidential financial records.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and bookkeeping systems.
- Record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Process invoices payments deposits and other financial transactions.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
- Monitor outstanding invoices and assist with collections and payment follow-up.
- Prepare routine financial reports and summaries for management.
- Maintain organized records of receipts expenses invoices and other financial documentation.
- Assist with payroll-related bookkeeping and record keeping as needed.
- Assist with monthly and year-end financial closing activities.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- Maintain confidentiality of company financial information.
- Communicate with management vendors and other parties regarding financial matters.
- Provide general administrative and accounting support as needed.
- Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting/bookkeeping software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while also working effectively with a team.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial information.
- Experience with payroll processing or payroll bookkeeping.

- Bookkeeping accounting or business-related education or certification.

- Experience with QuickBooks or comparable accounting software preferred.

Required Skills:
