Boiler Mechanic

MalaceHR is seeking an experienced Boiler / Facilities Technician to support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of a facility in El Paso TX. This position will have a strong focus on boiler operation and maintenance while also assisting with plumbing mechanical systems HVAC and general facility maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background with hands-on experience maintaining boilers and commercial facility equipment. Boiler or chiller certifications are highly preferred.

• Perform day-to-day operation inspection and routine maintenance of two fire-tube boilers
• Troubleshoot and repair boiler and mechanical system issues
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure boilers and associated equipment operate safely and efficiently
• Monitor the overall facility to ensure it remains safe secure and properly maintained
• Troubleshoot and maintain HVAC mechanical plumbing and related building systems
• Perform general and preventive facility maintenance
• Assist with minor plumbing carpentry and general building repairs as needed
• Inspect equipment and identify potential mechanical issues before failures occur
• Replace lighting bulbs ballasts and other basic electrical components as needed
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when required
• Move equipment furniture machinery and other materials as requested
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and completed work

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 23 years of relevant facilities/mechanical experience required
• 5 years of boiler and mechanical experience strongly preferred
• Hands-on experience operating troubleshooting and maintaining commercial boilers
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
• Plumbing and mechanical maintenance experience preferred
• Commercial facilities maintenance experience preferred
• Boiler and/or chiller certification highly preferred
• Working knowledge of HVAC and general building systems
• Knowledge of machines tools equipment repair and preventive maintenance
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage daily responsibilities
• Strong attention to detail communication and problem-solving skills
