Board-Certified Radiologist (On-Site and Teleradiology Services)

GD Resources LLC is seeking highly qualified Board-Certified Radiologists to support an upcoming Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) contract at the Sioux Falls VA Health Care System.

The selected physicians will provide comprehensive on-site and off-site (teleradiology) diagnostic imaging services to Veterans receiving care through the VA Healthcare System. Services shall be performed in accordance with the highest standards of medical practice and shall meet or exceed the guidelines established by the American College of Radiology (ACR).

This opportunity includes full-time on-site radiology coverage Acting Chief of Radiology support and 24/7 teleradiology interpretation services.

Location: On-Site Sioux Falls VA Health Care System

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
• Excluding Federal Holidays
• 40 Hours Per Week
• Approximately 2080 Hours Annually

• Interpret diagnostic imaging studies.
• Perform fluoroscopic procedures.
• Provide consultation to clinical providers.
• Participate in multidisciplinary patient care activities.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of imaging studies.
• Maintain compliance with VA credentialing and quality standards.

Location: On-Site Sioux Falls VA Health Care System

Schedule:

• Approximately 8 hours per week
• Approximately 416 hours annually
• Schedule determined by Imaging Service workload

• Serve as Acting Chief of Radiology.
• Provide leadership and oversight of radiology operations.
• Support quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Assist staff radiologists with interpretation workload.
• Collaborate with Imaging Service leadership regarding operational planning and workflow management.

Location: Remote / Contractor Facility

Coverage Requirements:

• 24 Hours Per Day
• 7 Days Per Week
• Including Federal Holidays

• Provide remote interpretation services.
• Deliver timely preliminary and final reports.
• Support emergency urgent and routine imaging studies.
• Maintain compliance with VA turnaround time requirements.
• Participate in quality assurance and peer review activities.

Location: Remote / Contractor Facility

• Interpret Nuclear Medicine examinations.
• Interpret SPECT imaging studies.
• Provide consultation regarding Nuclear Medicine procedures.
• Maintain compliance with current Nuclear Medicine standards and VA requirements.

Radiologists shall be proficient in interpreting:

• General Diagnostic Radiology
• Fluoroscopy
• Neuroradiology
• Musculoskeletal Imaging
• Nuclear Medicine
• Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT)
• Computed Tomography (CT)
• Computed Tomography Angiography (CTA)
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
• Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA)
• Ultrasound
• Bone Densitometry (DEXA)

Additional modalities may be assigned as required by the Sioux Falls VA Health Care System.

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology
• Current unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. State or Territory
• Eligible for credentialing and privileging through the Department of Veterans Affairs
• Current DEA registration if applicable
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Prior Department of Veterans Affairs experience
• Prior teleradiology experience
• Fellowship training in Neuroradiology Musculoskeletal Radiology Body Imaging Nuclear Medicine or related subspecialty
• Leadership experience for Acting Chief role

• Excellent diagnostic interpretation skills
• Strong clinical judgment
• Effective communication with healthcare providers
• Knowledge of ACR Practice Guidelines
• Familiarity with PACS and Radiology Information Systems
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
• Commitment to quality patient care and Veteran services
