Day Shift 4

The Blending Operator is responsible for checking all ingredients for correct part number lot number expiration date and quantity and uses forklift to transport ingredients to mezzanine area. Charges blender with ingredients following explicit directions on batch record procedure.

Key Responsibilities

• Pull raw materials from warehouse for stage product accountability.
• Blends ingredients following explicit directions on batch record procedures and discharges into super sacks (up to 1000 kilos); weighs to ensure correct weight/volume and uses fork lift to transport sacks to compressing area.
• Apply Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to Stage Charge and Yield products.
• Makes appropriate entries onto batch records labels and log books ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Ensures cleanliness of blending equipment and blending room to required standards by using small hand tools to disassemble equipment and cleaning as necessary; and thoroughly cleaning the walls floors and all other fixtures in the blending room using standard cleaning tools and cleansing agents.
• Blends/dry mixes ingredients by operating a V-shell Blender and a Flexsift (powder screening system) for dry powder material; prepares solutions and trays product for drying according to written procedures and standard operating procedures.
• Uses oscillator/comminutor to granulate and comminute product to appropriate particle size.
• Operates machine to test particle size; tests moisture level in product to ensure its integrity and compliance with set standards.
• Maintains a variety of written records on cleaning checking and product batches as required by the FDA and Pharmavite procedures

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience Required
• No prior experience Required
• 1 year related experience Prior experience as a production machine operator or utility worker or similar work is preferred. A complete working knowledge of the blending operation is preferred. Preferred

Physical or Work Requirements

• Performs work in manufacturing warehouse or production environments and require frequent standing walking bending reaching climbing and repetitive motion throughout the shift.
• Employees may be required to operate machinery or powered equipment wear personal protective equipment (PPE) work in environments with varying temperatures noise levels moving equipment or manufacturing materials and lift or move materials weighing up to 2550 pounds.
• Some roles may require overtime shift work weekends or extended schedules based on business needs.

The salary range for this position is $37000.00 - $60000.00.

Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate including but not limited to geographic location education experience qualifications and job-related skills. It is not typical for an individual to be hired above the midpoint of the range for their role and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. Base pay is only one component of our total rewards offerings and we will take the full offering into consideration when presenting an offer of employment.
