POSITION SCOPE
The Blast Supervisor is a safety sensitive position responsible for all Blast related operations for a designated job or jobs. Maintain a high quality of workmanship while supervising employees in the blasting crew.
This position requires extensive out-of-town travel.
The successful applicant should have supervisory experience and a thorough understanding of blasting techniques... blast design loading holes selecting and operating non-electric detonators demonstrate grade and elevation readings secure blast sites and identify explosives.
Possessing a current CDL is not required but will increase starting pay in this position.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Assigning and performing blasting activities
Works as a job site blaster supervisor directing blasting crew
Identifies and resolves blast site problems
Understands and follows all company safety policies and procedures
Comply with all local state and federal regulations
Present and maintain a professional image of the company to customers and the public
Wear all the required personal protective equipment
Attend company meetings as required
Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 21 years of age
Minimum two years of experience working with drills and explosives
Must pass ATF background check
Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation to get to and from work
Acceptable MVR in accordance with Fishers Company Vehicle Program policy
Must have good communication skills
Travel is required
