Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician III to join our team in Dublin GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation maintenance calibration and repair of a wide range of biomedical equipment used in healthcare settings. This role requires advanced technical expertise problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with clinical staff and other departments.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting repair and preventive maintenance on complex biomedical equipment and systems.
- Install calibrate and validate new medical devices and equipment according to manufacturer specifications and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance repairs and inspections in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support and training to clinical staff on the proper use and care of biomedical equipment.
- Collaborate with vendors manufacturers and other healthcare professionals to resolve equipment issues and ensure optimal performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards infection control protocols and regulatory guidelines such as FDA Joint Commission and OSHA.
- Assist in the development and implementation of equipment management programs and policies.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly to emergency repair requests.
- Associates degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering Technology Electronics or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician in a hospital setting.
- Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical device technology electronics and healthcare regulations.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools software and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and work in various clinical environments.
- Must pass Federal background and drug screen.

- Must follow OSHA guidelines in regard to blood borne pathogens airborne pathogens radiation sharp instruments and/or tools hazardous liquids and operating devices
- Ontime completion of safety trainings assignments
- Must have sensory ability to distinguish hot & cold ranges of temperature surfaces fine motor skills manual dexterity and detect/distinguish colors
- Must be able be able to carry or lift up to 50 pounds routinely
