Description
The Biomedical Equipment Technician Level IV (BMET IV) serves as a subject matter expert (SME) within the M3D providing enterprise-level technical support and strategic planning services. BMET IV personnelpossessextensive experience in biomedical maintenance operations policies practices and regulatory compliance. They support the Chief of M3D by conducting research providing analysis and offering recommendations on maintenance-centric initiatives and issues ensuring continuous improvement and effectiveness within Army medical maintenance programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Conduct research on maintenance issues and projects providing reports briefings white papers and articles.
- Analyze available data related to maintenance operations business practices and regulatory requirements developing recommendations and strategic insights.
- Provide technical support for the command maintenance discipline program and maintenanceassistanceand instruction team.
- Develop and lead medical maintenance projects tooptimizeoperations and management processes.
- Monitor MMQC compliance across all owning units ensuring adherence toestablishedpolicies and procedures.
- Track and report compliance with alerts and recalls ensuring proper sustainment and repair visibility.
- Maintain an understanding of Army medical maintenance capabilities including those within Combat Support Hospitals (CSH) Medical Logistics Companies (MLC) and Brigade Combat Teams (BCTs).
- Develop and integrate policies programs and procedures that support sustained Army medical equipment maintenance.
- Use various programming languages to perform data management and languages may include Python SQL Visual Basic R Excel Functions etc.
- Assistin the development and integration of new maintenance policies and programs.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians and staff.
- Collaborate with Army medical maintenance stakeholders to enhance program efficiency.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Travel
- Willingness and ability to travel0-25%based on client needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher in related field of study preferred.
- A.A.S. in Medical Equipment Technology and/or graduate of DoD Medical Equipment Repairers Course
- Eight (8) or more years of directly related experience with four (4) or more years supervisory experience in the biomedical field technical certifications relating to position requirements and proven technical writing skills.
- Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook Internet Explorer Teams)
- Applicable client systems and maintenance databases
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Strong knowledge of HTM best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with Department ofDefensemedical lifecycle management and capital equipment planning.
- Data analysis experience with knowledge of Power BI Tableau Excel or similar business intelligence and data visualization tools required.
- Knowledge of Python SQL Visual Basic R Excel Functions programming languages preferred.
- Six Sigma or Lean certification preferred.
- Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) or equivalent preferred
Compensation
- $90000-$110000

Required Experience:
