Koniag Advisory Business Solutions LLC a Koniag Government Services company is seeking a Biomedical Electronics Technician I to support KABS and our government customer in Billings MT. This position is covered under the Service Contract Act. We offer competitive compensation and an extraordinary benefits package including health dental and vision insurance 401K with company matching paid holidays paid Vacation paid sick leave and Advisory Business Solutions is hiring a fulltime Biomedical Electronics Technician (BMET) I to provide equipment maintenance support as required to maintain compliance with applicable regulatory accreditation manufacturer and patient safety requirements while minimizing equipment downtime and disruption to clinical client the Billings Area Indian Health Service (IHS) requires BMET support services to ensure Government-owned medical equipment remains safe reliable and operational in support of patient care activities. The Billings Area includes healthcare facilities located throughout Montana and Billings Area currently requires a dedicated BMET resource to support preventive maintenance corrective maintenance equipment inspections equipment inspections equipment lifecycle management inventory management and technical support activities across all five Service is an excellent opportunity for an early-career biomedical or electronics technician looking to grow in a regulated healthcare environment while supporting a mission-driven Functions Responsibilities & Duties may include but are not limited to:Troubleshoot diagnose repair install maintain calibrate and inspect medical and diagnostic equipmentComplete preventive maintenance by scheduled due accurate and complete maintenance to equipment failures in a timely repairs safely and accurate inventory and maintenance accreditation and regulatory compliance professional appearance and with all applicable IHS policies and electrical safety testing using specialized biomedical test equipmentDocument all service activities in a CMMS in compliance with CMS and The Joint Commission (TJC) standardsTravel to remote clinic sites using a government-provided vehicleCoordinate with the Biomedical Engineering team to procure parts PM kits and vendor servicesParticipate in required technical administrative and safety trainingRequired Qualifications:Possess an Associate Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology ElectronicsTechnology a related technical field military BMET training or equivalent one (1) to two (2) years of biomedical equipment maintenance and maintain a valid drivers all required background investigations credentialing requirements and facility orientation before beginning to troubleshoot electronic and mechanical systemsManual dexterity and experience using hand and small power toolsAbility to read and interpret technical manuals and schematicsBasic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office or similar systems)Clearance Requirement:Employee can start with an interim while clearance is Qualifications:Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET).Manufacturer-specific biomedical equipment biomedical equipment-related certifications applicable to equipment maintained under this military or on-the-job training in electronics/biomedical equipmentExperience in healthcare environmentsFamiliarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)Prior IHS or federal healthcare experienceWork Schedule:MondayFriday 8:00 AM 5:00 PMOccasional overtime as directed by the Biomedical SupervisorCompliance & Special Requirements:HIPAA and patient privacy security access safety prevention and control conduct to IHS tobacco-free campus policyStrict compliance with security confidentiality and information-handling requirementsBackground investigation requirements Complete all required background investigations credentialing requirements and facility orientation before beginning Equal Employment Opportunity PolicyThe company is an equal opportunity employer.
