Job Summary

General Summary of Position:

We are a highly collaborative group at the Center of Biomedical and Health Research in Data Sciences (CHORDS) at University of Massachusetts Lowell seeking a biomedical data scientist (PhD level). In this position you will use neural networks SQL Python R and work with diverse cutting-edge health records data and genomics data.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

Education:

  • PhD in a computational or quantitative field

Experience:

  • Experience with both the computational and mathematical side of machine learning models.

Skills:

  • Communication critical thinking.
  • Able to translate research questions into computational representations of the ideas.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of high school biology interest in learning basics of biology

This position is full-time benefited and in the Grants & Contracts union in grade P18. Salary anticipated up to $85000 with formal range minimum: $72170 with 25th quartile: $82093 and midpoint of $92017. This position is contingent upon funding.
