Biomed Technician
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Biomedical Technician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude and electronics experience who are looking to build a rewarding career in healthcare technology. Previous biomedical experience is not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong foundation in electronics troubleshooting and hands-on mechanical work.
The Biomedical Technician is responsible for inspecting maintaining troubleshooting and repairing a variety of medical equipment to help ensure safe and reliable operation throughout the healthcare environment.
The BMET 1 position is an entry level position. The technician maintains clinical equipment through the effective use of the Medical Equipment Management Plan. Performs a variety of routine tasks associated with the installation maintenance calibration and repair of a limited scope of biomedical equipment under the guidance and direct supervision of an experienced healthcare technology management (HTM) professional. (Guidelines)The BMET 1 will demonstrate basic knowledge of the job activity or function needs supervision or mentoring on advanced assignments.
