- One temporary hourly-intermittent work study student assistant position in the Department of Biological Sciences
- Start Date
- Position available on or after September 2 2026 and ending on or before May 21 2027. Possibility of reappointment based on budget department needs and job performance.
- Job Description/Duties
- Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist in performing general clerical duties; which includes but not limited to data entry filing inventory answering the phones efficiently and routing inquiries to the appropriate person.
- Assist in performing receptionist duties; which includes but is not limited to assisting students at the reception desk; handling mail and packages.
- Assist in updating student files.
Other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrates the ability to utilize office equipment (copy machine scanner etc).
- Demonstrates the ability to maintain confidentiality good attendance office etiquette and promptness.
- Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to work under pressure in a large complex department and answer questions with accurate information.
- Demonstrates friendly and courteous receptionist skills and be able to work independently with numerous interruptions.
- Demonstrates dependability and the ability to follow through on assignments is necessary as well.
Required Qualifications:- Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
- Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
