The Opportunity

The PCA Group of Companies is seeking a dynamic highly motivated Bilingual Human Resources Specialist to join our growing Human Resources team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys recruiting working directly with employees and being part of a fast-paced organization where no two days are exactly the same.

Approximately 70% of this position will focus on recruiting and talent acquisition 20% on payroll and timekeeping support and 10% on employee relations and general HR responsibilities.

This position is fully on-site in Ronkonkoma New York and requires professional fluency in English and Spanish.

What Youll Do
Talent Acquisition & Recruiting Approximately 70%

Recruiting will be the primary focus of this position.

The Bilingual Human Resources Specialist will work closely with Human Resources and departmental leadership to identify attract screen and hire qualified candidates across the organization.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage recruiting activities for multiple open positions simultaneously.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and position requirements.
  • Draft and post job advertisements across appropriate recruiting platforms.
  • Review resumes and applications and identify qualified candidates.
  • Conduct initial telephone virtual and in-person candidate screenings.
  • Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Assist with offer letters pre-employment requirements background checks and onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate candidate information within the companys applicant tracking system.
  • Develop candidate pipelines for frequently recruited positions.
  • Participate in recruiting events career fairs community outreach and other talent-acquisition initiatives.
  • Help identify new recruiting sources and strategies to improve candidate quality and time-to-fill.
  • Support recruitment efforts for both office and operational/warehouse positions.
  • Provide bilingual recruiting and onboarding support for Spanish-speaking candidates and employees.
Payroll & Timekeeping Approximately 20%

The Human Resources Specialist will also assist with payroll administration and employee timekeeping.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Review employee time and attendance records for accuracy.
  • Identify missing punches scheduling discrepancies or other timekeeping issues.
  • Work with employees and managers to resolve payroll and timekeeping questions.
  • Assist with compiling and entering payroll-related information.
  • Maintain employee payroll and personnel information.
  • Review employee changes that may impact payroll including new hires terminations compensation changes and time-off information.
  • Assist Human Resources with payroll reporting and recordkeeping.
  • Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee information at all times.
Employee Relations & General HR Support Approximately 10%

The successful candidate will also provide day-to-day Human Resources support to our employee population.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as an accessible HR resource for employees who have questions or need assistance.
  • Provide bilingual HR support to Spanish-speaking employees when needed.
  • Assist with employee relations matters under the direction of Human Resources leadership.
  • Help communicate company policies procedures and HR programs.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records.
  • Prepare employment documentation and reports.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • Support HR compliance training employee communication and special projects.
  • Help create a professional respectful responsive and employee-focused HR environment.
What Were Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who is organized energetic approachable and interested in building a long-term career in Human Resources.

Qualifications
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Previous Human Resources recruiting payroll administrative or employee-support experience preferred.
  • Recruiting or talent-acquisition experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with payroll and/or employee timekeeping systems preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Comfortable speaking with candidates and employees at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee information professionally.
  • Strong follow-through and sense of urgency.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced evolving environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook Word and Excel.
  • Experience with an applicant tracking system (ATS) HRIS payroll system or PEO platform is a plus.
