Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Superintendent and the administrators assists in the school site effort to involve parents in the educational process of their children assisting non English-speaking parents through oral and written translation transportation and home visitation. Assists school personnel with parent contacts in the office on the telephone and in-person. This position is located in the District Office in Taft CA.
Minimum Requirements: Graduation from high school or equivalent. Must pass a pre-assignment physical examination as scheduled and provided by the District. Successful completion of the District-proctored proficiency test. Type efficiently and accurately at no less than 45 words per : Previous work experience in a school setting as a clerk or instructionally related employee is preferable. ESL and/or bilingual experience in local dominant language(s) possess a valid California driver license. Fingerprint clearance by both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice as well as a physical clearance are conditions of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met.
